Dialectical terms (12): Purpose (prayojana)
Every voluntary action is motivated. Every one acts to obtain the desired object or to avoid an undesirable object.[1] Purpose is that for which an action is begun.[2] It is the motivating object of an action[3] or it is that which goads one in to action.[4]
