Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.9.41:
तृणपर्णलतादीनि यथा स्रोतोऽनुकर्षति ।
प्रवर्तयति कालोऽपि मात्रा मात्रावतां तथा ॥ ४१ ॥tṛṇaparṇalatādīni yathā sroto'nukarṣati |
pravartayati kālo'pi mātrā mātrāvatāṃ tathā || 41 ||41. Just as the current of a river tosses about grass, leaves and creepers, in the same way, Time brings about changes in objects.
Commentary
[Just as the current of a river displaces some things and puts others back in their place, in the same way, the ever active Time creates objects and brings about changes in the created objects.]
