The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.37; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

यथा वा प्राचाम् —
भ-भ-भ्रमति मेदिनी ल-ल-लन्दते चन्द्रमाः
कृ-कृष्ण ववद द्रुतं ह-ह-हसन्ति किं वृष्णयः ।
सिसीधु मु-मु-मुञ्च मे प-प-प-पान-पात्रे स्थितः
मद-स्खलितम् आलपन् हल-धरः श्रियः वः क्रियात् ॥२.४.३७॥

yathā vā prācām —
bha-bha-bhramati medinī la-la-landate candramāḥ
kṛ-kṛṣṇa vavada drutaṃ ha-ha-hasanti kiṃ vṛṣṇayaḥ |
sisīdhu mu-mu-muñca me pa-pa-pa-pāna-pātre sthitaḥ
mada-skhalitam ālapan hala-dharaḥ śriyaḥ vaḥ kriyāt
||2.4.37||

English translation

Another example of intoxication, from a traditional work:
“ ‘O Kṛṣṇa! Tell me immediately! Is the earth swerving? Is the moon wobbling? O Yadus, why are you laughing? Give Me some wine in a glass!’ Balarāma stuttered, speaking in this way while sitting in His house. May that Balarāma give you blessings!”
