आव॒: शमं॑ वृष॒भं तुग्र्या॑सु क्षेत्रजे॒षे म॑घव॒ञ्छ्वित्र्यं॒ गाम् । ज्योक्चि॒दत्र॑ तस्थि॒वांसो॑ अक्रञ्छत्रूय॒तामध॑रा॒ वेद॑नाकः ॥
आवः शमं वृषभं तुग्र्यासु क्षेत्रजेषे मघवञ्छ्वित्र्यं गाम् । ज्योक्चिदत्र तस्थिवांसो अक्रञ्छत्रूयतामधरा वेदनाकः ॥
āvaḥ śamaṃ vṛṣabhaṃ tugryāsu kṣetrajeṣe maghavañ chvitryaṃ gām | jyok cid atra tasthivāṃso akrañ chatrūyatām adharā vedanākaḥ ||
English translation:
“You have protected, Maghavan, the excellent son of Śvitā, when combating for his lands, and encouraged (by you) when immersed in water; do you inflict sharp pains on those of hostile minds, who have long stood (in enmity) against us.”
