The Garga-samhita Verse 3.5.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 5 (The Dispute Among the Gopas) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

ज्ञातेस् त्यागं करिष्यामो
यदि सत्यं न भाषसे
गोपेषु चास्य वोत्पत्तिं
वद चेन् न कलिर् भवेत्

jñātes tyāgaṃ kariṣyāmo
yadi satyaṃ na bhāṣase
gopeṣu cāsya votpattiṃ
vada cen na kalir bhavet

jñāteḥ—of the family; tyāgam—renunciation; kariṣyāmaḥ—we will do; yadi—if; satyam—truth; na—not; bhāṣase—you tell; gopeṣu—among the gopas; ca—and; asyaof Him; vā—or; utpattim—birth; vadatell; cen—if; na—not; kaliḥ—a quarrel; bhavet—may be.

English translation of verse 3.5.7:

If you don't tell us the truth, we will leave the community. Was this boy really born in a family of gopas? If you don't tell us, there will be a great quarrel.
