—or— Him. the Sun does not illumine nor the moon and the stars. Nor do these lightnings much less this Fire illumine Him. When He illumines all (.the Sun, etc.), then they shine after (Him with His light). This whole universe reveals His Light (is His light and its light is His). [Note.—Bhati, Illumines. The Sun can not reveal that Brahman. It is to be taken in a causative sense, meaning “illumines,” and and not shines. So, also in “bhanti” later on....
