This is Invocation of the English translation of the Tattvartha Sutra which represents the essentials of Jainism and Jain dharma and deals with the basics on Karma, Cosmology, Ethics, Celestial beings and Liberation. The Tattvarthasutra is authorative among both Digambara and Shvetambara.

* मंगलाचरण *

मोक्षमार्गस्य नेतारं भेत्तारं कर्मभूभृताम् ।
ज्ञातारं विश्वतत्त्वानां वन्दे तद्गुणलब्धये ॥

मोक्षमार्ग के प्रवर्तक, कर्मरूपी पर्वतों के भेदक अर्थात् नष्ट करने वाले, तथा विश्व के (समस्त) तत्त्वों के जानने वाले (आप्त) को उनके गुणों की प्राप्ति के हेतु मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ - वन्दना करता हूँ।

* maṃgalācaraṇa *

mokṣamārgasya netāraṃ bhettāraṃ karmabhūbhṛtām |
jñātāraṃ viśvatattvānāṃ vande tadguṇalabdhaye ||

mokṣamārga ke pravartaka, karmarūpī parvatoṃ ke bhedaka arthāt naṣṭa karane vāle, tathā viśva ke (samasta) tattvoṃ ke jānane vāle (āpta) ko unake guṇoṃ kī prāpti ke hetu maiṃ praṇāma karatā hūṃ - vandanā karatā hūṃ.

Invocation:

I make obeisance to the Omniscient Lord–the promulgator of the path to liberation, the destroyer of the mountains of karmas, and the knower of the whole of reality–so that I may realize these qualities.
