7. Arthavimarsini by Vaikkathu Pachu Muttat

The Arthavimarsini[1] is a commentary written by Vaikkatu Pachu Muttat [Vaikkath Pachu Moothathu] on Narayana Bhattatiris Rajasuyaprabhandha. In the beginning of the commentary the author discloses that he wrote at the instance of Ayilyam Tirunal Rama Varma, in the reign of Utrram Tirunal Martanda Varma.

mārtāṇḍa vañcīśvarabhāgineyaḥ
sarvaprajānāmapi bhāgadheyaṃ
saddharmavarmaprati pratiguptadehaḥ
śrī rāmavarmanṛpatirvibhāti ||
sudharmāyāmindrasadasi viduṣāṃ bhojannṛpatiḥ
dvijaśreṇīmadhye punaramṛtaguhaḥ kalpataruḥ
surodyāne lokairiha yadavaloke sati samam |
pradarśyante so'yaṃ jagati suguṇāśleṣannṛpatiḥ ||

In these verses poet qualify the king.
