7. The Chaldeans and Astrology

The Chaldeans were known for astrology and astronomy. Each day of the week, they worshipped a different heavenly bodies that could be seen in the sky with the naked eye.

They worshipped those planets and fixed the lord of the week day such as:-

Sunday - Sun
Monday - Moon
Tuesday - Mars
Wednesday - Mercury
Thursday - Jupiter
Friday - Venus
Saturday - Saturn


The concept of lord of the week (Varadhipa) is considered as the astrological contributions of the Chaldeans.
