2.1. Rudra as Kavi
In the Ṛgveda, Rudra is known as Kavi or omniscient.
Sāyaṇācārya explains the term kavi as:
kaviṃ krāntadarśinam
“He who is omniscient.”[1]
He can see everything what is beyond the sense organs. That is why he is known by this name.[2]
