28. Pippalāda incarnation
There was a great Brāhmaṇa and an excellent sage named Dadhīci. He was the son of Cyavana. He was a great devotee of Śiva and was very powerful. Suvarcā was his wife. She cursed the gods. By her curse, the great god Śiva incarnated as the son of Dadhīci and Suvarcā. This boy of Dadhīci and Suvarcā is known as Pippalāda.[1]
