Acknowledgement

I had a desire in my mind to undertake a Ph.D. work since I was doing my master degree at Tripura University. After completion of Master Degree I got the chance to undertake Ph.D. work under the supervision of Dr. Krishna Bhattacharya, Associate Professor, Dept. of Philosophy, Tripura University.

I have no words to express my deep sense of gratitude to my supervisor Dr. Krishna Bhattacharya who always provides support to me like my guardian. She always treats me as a son and spread her hands whenever needed. Without her guidance and supervision it was impossible for me to finish the course in due time. Professor Pradyot Kumar Mandal of the University of Burdwan, also helped me in various respects. I am really thankful to him for his help.

I like to express my sincere thanks to all my mentors Professor Sushit Kumar Sarkar, formerly Head of the Dept. of Philosophy, Tripura University, Dr. Mohan Debbarma, Head of the Dept. of Philosophy, Tripura University, Dr. Bimal Ch. Paul not only for their inspiration but also for giving me valuable suggestions. Since my student life I felt that whenever I was stumbled in any issues they were the only persons who with their profound knowledge provide me solutions by giving suggestions or referring to texts where I could find answers to those problems. Words are not sufficient to express my gratitude to them.

I am also thankful to my life partner Sharmistha who is always an inspiration in taking up this course of study and has made possible to see it the light of the day. Last but not the least I pay my gratitude to my parents and seek their blessings.
