9.13. The character of Sumitrā

Sumitrā is the queen of Daśaratha and mother of Lakṣmaṇa and Śatrughna. Sumitrā says Lakṣmaṇa to treat Rāma as his father Daśaratha and Sītā as his mother Sumitrā and the forest as Ayodhyā.[1] Here is a minor character in the Hanumannāṭaka However, her sense of duty as a wife and a mother comes to be reflected by her words.
