Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.14.113:
व्यापारं याति भेदाख्यैस्तत् स्वैरवयवैः क्वचित् ।
आत्मा भेदानपेक्षोऽस्य क्वचिदेति निमित्तताम् ॥ ११३ ॥vyāpāraṃ yāti bhedākhyaistat svairavayavaiḥ kvacit |
ātmā bhedānapekṣo'sya kvacideti nimittatām || 113 ||113. Sometimes it functions through the particular numbers, its parts, and sometimes its own form, irrespective of differentiation, becomes the basis of use.
Commentary
[As it includes all the particular numbers within itself, sometimes, that is, when there is occasion for a particular number to be conveyed, it functions through it. Sometimes, however., it functions in an undifferentiated form.]
