Verse 3.9.26
Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.9.26:
यथैवाद्भुतया वृत्त्या निष्क्रमं निर्निबन्धनम् ।
अपदं जायते सर्वं तथास्यात्मा प्रहीयते ॥ २६ ॥yathaivādbhutayā vṛttyā niṣkramaṃ nirnibandhanam |
apadaṃ jāyate sarvaṃ tathāsyātmā prahīyate || 26 ||26. Just as, in some wonderful way, it is the sequenceless, the causeless and the ineffable which is born, the same is true of its destruction.
Commentary
[It has already been said at the time of the explanation of the doctrine of vivarta (sambandha-samuddeśa, 81 with Helārāja’s commentary) that it is the sequenceless, the causeless and the ineffable which is born. The same is true of destruction also.]
Thus, the birth, continued existence and the decay of objects are due to Time.
Another circumstance which enables us to infer Time is now going to be mentioned.
