Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 2.414:
क्रिया क्रियान्तराद्भिन्ना नियताधारसाधना ।
प्रक्रान्ता प्रतिपत्तॄणां भेदाः सम्बोधहेतवः ॥ ४१४ ॥kriyā kriyāntarādbhinnā niyatādhārasādhanā |
prakrāntā pratipattṝṇāṃ bhedāḥ sambodhahetavaḥ || 414 ||414. An action with specific accessories as its substrata and (therefore) different from other actions, is understood from the very beginning and its specifications (bhedāḥ, mentioned in the sentence) are for the sake of the understanding of the listener.
