Sanskrit text and transliteration:

विद्यैवोपनिषज्ज्ञेया तयैवोपेत्य निर्द्वयम् ।
विन्दते निर्भयात्मानं तस्मादुपनिषत्स्मृता ॥ ७४९ ॥

vidyaivopaniṣajjñeyā tayaivopetya nirdvayam |
vindate nirbhayātmānaṃ tasmādupaniṣatsmṛtā || 749 ||

English translation of verse 2.749:

The word upaniṣad means knowledge alone. It is by knowledge alone that one, having approached the nondual (Brahman), attains the Self which is free from fear. Hence (this Vallī) is spoken of as the Upaniṣad.
