The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.5.29; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. पूज्यो, यथा विदग्ध-माधवे (२.२२) —
क्रोशन्त्यां कर-पल्लवेन बलवान् सद्यः पिधत्ते मुखं
धावन्त्यां भय-भाजि विस्तृत-भुजो रुन्धे पुरः पद्धतिम् ।
पादान्ते विलुठत्य् असौ मयि मुहुर् दष्टाधरायां रुषा
मातश् चण्डि मया शिखण्ड-मुकुटाद् आत्माभिरक्ष्यः कथम् ॥४.५.२९॥pūjyo, yathā vidagdha-mādhave (2.22) —
krośantyāṃ kara-pallavena balavān sadyaḥ pidhatte mukhaṃ
dhāvantyāṃ bhaya-bhāji vistṛta-bhujo rundhe puraḥ paddhatim |
pādānte viluṭhaty asau mayi muhur daṣṭādharāyāṃ ruṣā
mātaś caṇḍi mayā śikhaṇḍa-mukuṭād ātmābhirakṣyaḥ katham ||4.5.29||
English translation
Manyu against elders, from Vidagdha-mādhava [2.22]:
“O angry mother! When I shout to call someone, strong Kṛṣṇa immediately covers My mouth with His soft hand. When I try to flee in fear, He stretches His arms and blocks the path. When I bite My lower lip in anger, He falls down at My feet repeatedly. Please tell Me, how can I protect Myself from Kṛṣṇa?”
