The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.4.16; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

वात्सल्यम्, यथा —
अवलम्ब्य कराङ्गुलिं निजां
स्खलद्-अङ्घ्रि प्रसरन्तम् अङ्गने ।
उरसि स्रवद्-अश्रु-निर्झरो
मुमुदे प्रेक्ष्य सुतं व्रजाधिपः ॥३.४.१६॥

vātsalyam, yathā —
avalambya karāṅguliṃ nijāṃ
skhalad-aṅghri prasarantam aṅgane |
urasi sravad-aśru-nirjharo
mumude prekṣya sutaṃ vrajādhipaḥ
||3.4.16||

English translation

His parental affection:
Kṛṣṇa held the fingers of Nanda as He walked about the yard on unsteady feet. Seeing his son begin to walk, Nanda was inundated with bliss, and his chest became covered with tears.”
