The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.168; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र गौरव-प्रीतिः, यथा —
मुद्रां भिनत्ति न रद-च्छदयोर् अमन्दां
वक्त्रं च नोन्नमयति स्रवद्-अस्र-कीर्णम् ।
धीरः परं किम् अपि सङ्कुचतीं झषाङ्को
दृष्टिं क्षिपत्य् अघभिदश् चरणारविन्दे ॥३.२.१६८॥

tatra gaurava-prītiḥ, yathā —
mudrāṃ bhinatti na rada-cchadayor amandāṃ
vaktraṃ ca nonnamayati sravad-asra-kīrṇam
|
dhīraḥ paraṃ kim api saṅkucatīṃ jhaṣāṅko
dṛṣṭiṃ kṣipaty aghabhidaś caraṇāravinde
||3.2.168||

English translation

Gaurava-prīti-sthāyī-bhāva:
“The most sober Pradyumna could not open his mouth to speak to his father. He did not lift his tear-filled eyes, and threw only furtive glances at Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet.”
