The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.70; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. दुष्ट-विभाव-जाः, यथा —
भैरवं ब्रुवति हन्त हन्त गोकुल-
द्वारि वारिद-निभे वृषासुरे ।
पुत्र-गुप्ति-धृत-यत्न-वैभवा
कम्प्र-मूर्तिर् अभवद् व्रजेश्वरी ॥२.५.७०॥duṣṭa-vibhāva-jāḥ, yathā —
bhairavaṃ bruvati hanta hanta gokula-
dvāri vārida-nibhe vṛṣāsure |
putra-gupti-dhṛta-yatna-vaibhavā
kampra-mūrtir abhavad vrajeśvarī ||2.5.70||
English translation
The enemy of Kṛṣṇa as the cause of fear:
“When Vṛṣāsura, like a storm cloud, roared in a frightening manner at the entrance of Gokula, Yaśodā, thinking of the protection of her son, began to tremble.”
