The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.70; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

दुष्ट-विभाव-जाः, यथा —
भैरवं ब्रुवति हन्त हन्त गोकुल-
द्वारि वारिद-निभे वृषासुरे ।
पुत्र-गुप्ति-धृत-यत्न-वैभवा
कम्प्र-मूर्तिर् अभवद् व्रजेश्वरी ॥२.५.७०॥

duṣṭa-vibhāva-jāḥ, yathā —
bhairavaṃ bruvati hanta hanta gokula-
dvāri vārida-nibhe vṛṣāsure |
putra-gupti-dhṛta-yatna-vaibhavā
kampra-mūrtir abhavad vrajeśvarī
||2.5.70||

English translation

The enemy of Kṛṣṇa as the cause of fear:
“When Vṛṣāsura, like a storm cloud, roared in a frightening manner at the entrance of Gokula, Yaśodā, thinking of the protection of her son, began to tremble.”
