अथ (३२) सुप्तिः —
सुप्तिर् निद्रा-विभावा स्यान् नानार्थानुभवात्मिका ।
इन्द्रियोपरति-श्वास-नेत्र-संमीलनादि-कृत् ॥२.४.१७७॥atha (32) suptiḥ —
suptir nidrā-vibhāvā syān nānārthānubhavātmikā |
indriyoparati-śvāsa-netra-saṃmīlanādi-kṛt ||2.4.177||
English translation
“Sleep in which there are various thoughts and experience of objects is called supti or dreaming. In this state there is absence of the functions of the external senses, heavy breathing and closing the eyes.”
