The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.82; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

आपदो, यथा —
पशून् अपि कृताञ्जलिर् नमति मान्त्रिका इत्य् अलं
तरून् अपि चिकित्सका इति विषौषधं पृच्छति ।
ह्रदं भुजग-भैरवं हरि हरि प्रविष्टे हरौ
व्रजेन्द्र-गृहिणी मुहुर् भ्रम-मयीम् अवस्थां गता ॥२.४.८२॥

āpado, yathā —
paśūn api kṛtāñjalir namati māntrikā ity alaṃ
tarūn api cikitsakā iti viṣauṣadhaṃ pṛcchati |
hradaṃ bhujaga-bhairavaṃ hari hari praviṣṭe harau
vrajendra-gṛhiṇī muhur bhrama-mayīm avasthāṃ gatā
||2.4.82||

English translation

Insanity arising from calamity:
“What a calamity! When Kṛṣṇa entered the lake of Kāliya, Yaśodā became insane, and thinking the animals were knowers of mantras, folded her hands and began offering them respects. Thinking the trees were doctors, she asked them for medicine to counteract the poison.”
