The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.241 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

कृष्ण-भक्तो यथा —
दृग्-अम्भोभिर् धौतः पुलक-पतली मण्डित-तनुः
स्खलन्न् अन्तः-फुल्लो दधद् अतिपृथुं वेपथुम् अपि ।
दृशोः कक्षां यावन् मम स पुरुषः को’प्य् उपययौ
न जाने किं तावन् मतिर् इह गृहे नाभिरमते ॥१.२.२४१ ॥

kṛṣṇa-bhakto yathā —
dṛg-ambhobhir dhautaḥ pulaka-patalī maṇḍita-tanuḥ
skhalann antaḥ-phullo dadhad atipṛthuṃ vepathum api |
dṛśoḥ kakṣāṃ yāvan mama sa puruṣaḥ ko’py upayayau
na jāne kiṃ tāvan matir iha gṛhe nābhiramate
||1.2.241 ||

English translation

The power of association with the devotee of Kṛṣṇa:
“Ever since I saw a certain person whose body was washed with his own tears, whose hairs were standing on end, and who stumbled around with a joyous heart, while quivering to the extreme, my mind has for some reason become so attached to the form of Kṛṣṇa that I have no attachment to my family.”
