The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.173 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

गुण-श्रवणं, यथा द्वादशे (१२.३.१५) —
यस् तूत्तमःश्लोक-गुणानुवादः
सङ्गीयते’भीक्ष्णम् अमङ्गल-घ्नः ।
तम् एव नित्यं शृणुयाद् अभीक्ष्णं
कृष्णे’मलां भक्तिम् अभीप्समानः ॥१.२.१७३ ॥

guṇa-śravaṇaṃ, yathā dvādaśe (12.3.15) —
yas tūttamaḥśloka-guṇānuvādaḥ
saṅgīyate’bhīkṣṇam amaṅgala-ghnaḥ |
tam eva nityaṃ śṛṇuyād abhīkṣṇaṃ
kṛṣṇe’malāṃ bhaktim abhīpsamānaḥ
||1.2.173 ||

English translation

Hearing the qualities of the Lord, from the Twelfth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [12.3.15]:
“The person who desires pure devotional service to Lord Kṛṣṇa should hear the narrations of Lord Uttamaḥśloka's glorious qualities, the constant chanting of which destroys everything inauspicious. The devotee should engage in such listening in regular daily assemblies and should also continue his hearing throughout the day.”
