वैधर्म्याद् यथा, थिस्
vaidharmyād yathā,
This is a particular instance corroborated by a generality, by a contrast:
prāṇāḥ prayāntu me sadyas tyaktāyā nanda-sūnunā | satyaṃ tā eva jīvantu yāsāṃ phalavatī kṛtiḥ ||
prāṇāḥ—the life airs; prayāntu—should go away; me—of mine; sadyaḥ—at once; tyaktāyāḥ—who was abandoned; nanda-sūnunā—by Kṛṣṇa (“Nanda’s son”); satyam—truly; tāḥ—those women; eva—only; jīvantu—should live; yāsām—whose; phalavatī—has a result; kṛtiḥ—action.
Kṛṣṇa, my lover, abandoned me. Let my life force leave my body at once. Truly, only those women whose course of action becomes fruitful should live.
atra pūrvārdhaḥ parārdhena samarthyate.
Here the first half (the first two sentences) is corroborated by the second.
