दुःखं हरति भक्तानां करोति परमां मुदम् |
हेतुं नापेक्षते कञ्चित् स विष्णुः प्रणति-प्रियः ||
duḥkhaṃ harati bhaktānāṃ karoti paramāṃ mudam |
hetuṃ nāpekṣate kañcit sa viṣṇuḥ praṇati-priyaḥ ||
duḥkham—unhappiness; harati—takes away; bhaktānām—of the devotees; karoti—makes; paramām—the highest; mudam—joy; hetum—a reason; na apekṣate—does not require; kañcit—whatsoever; saḥ—that (the well-known one); viṣṇuḥ—Viṣṇu; praṇati-priyaḥ—for whom humility is dear.
That Viṣṇu, for whom humility is dear, removes the devotees’ unhappiness and creates the highest delight. He does not require any reason whatsoever.
