बळि॒त्था पर्व॑तानां खि॒द्रं बि॑भर्षि पृथिवि । प्र या भूमिं॑ प्रवत्वति म॒ह्ना जि॒नोषि॑ महिनि ॥
बळित्था पर्वतानां खिद्रं बिभर्षि पृथिवि । प्र या भूमिं प्रवत्वति मह्ना जिनोषि महिनि ॥
baḻ itthā parvatānāṃ khidram bibharṣi pṛthivi | pra yā bhūmim pravatvati mahnā jinoṣi mahini ||
English translation:
“Verily you sustain here, Pṛthivi, the fracture of the mountains; mighty and most excellent, you are she who delight the earth by your greatness.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Pṛthivi: antarikṣam or firmament; parvatānām khidram bibharṣi = you sustain the fracture, or opening of the clouds; mahnā jinoṣi bhūmim = you delight the earth with great or abundant rain
