उ॒त न॑ ईं म॒तयोऽश्व॑योगा॒: शिशुं॒ न गाव॒स्तरु॑णं रिहन्ति । तमीं॒ गिरो॒ जन॑यो॒ न पत्नी॑: सुर॒भिष्ट॑मं न॒रां न॑सन्त ॥
उत न ईं मतयोऽश्वयोगाः शिशुं न गावस्तरुणं रिहन्ति । तमीं गिरो जनयो न पत्नीः सुरभिष्टमं नरां नसन्त ॥
uta na īm matayo 'śvayogāḥ śiśuṃ na gāvas taruṇaṃ rihanti | tam īṃ giro janayo na patnīḥ surabhiṣṭamaṃ narāṃ nasanta ||
English translation:
“For our minds, yoked together like horses tend to the ever youthful Indra, as cows to their calves; and the praises of men, (addressed) to him, are genitive rating most fragrant (fruit), as wives bear (children to their husbands).”
