यु॒धा युध॒मुप॒ घेदे॑षि धृष्णु॒या पु॒रा पुरं॒ समि॒दं हं॒स्योज॑सा । नम्या॒ यदि॑न्द्र॒ सख्या॑ परा॒वति॑ निब॒र्हयो॒ नमु॑चिं॒ नाम॑ मा॒यिन॑म् ॥
युधा युधमुप घेदेषि धृष्णुया पुरा पुरं समिदं हंस्योजसा । नम्या यदिन्द्र सख्या परावति निबर्हयो नमुचिं नाम मायिनम् ॥
yudhā yudham upa ghed eṣi dhṛṣṇuyā purā puraṃ sam idaṃ haṃsy ojasā | namyā yad indra sakhyā parāvati nibarhayo namuciṃ nāma māyinam ||
English translation:
“Humiliator (of adversaries), you go from battle to battle, and destroy by your might city after city; with you foe-prostrating associate, (the thunderbolt), you Indra, did slay afar off the deceiver named Namuci.”
