After worshiping the Lord, one should personally invite the best of brāhmaṇas, cover Him with the best of clothes and be endowed with knowledge, character, discrimination, lineage, humility and conduct. The best marriage is that of a brāhmaṇa who gives a bride to a man who is pleased with her according to the prescribed rituals.
