The Garga-samhita Verse 6.15.36, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 15 (The Glories of Nriga-kupa and Gopi-bhumi) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

सभायाम् आगतं व्यासं
सम्पूज्य विधिवन् नृप
नत्वा पप्रच्छ धर्मात्मा
धर्म-राजो महा-मतिः

sabhāyām āgataṃ vyāsaṃ
sampūjya vidhivan nṛpa
natvā papraccha dharmātmā
dharma-rājo mahā-matiḥ

sabhāyām—to the assembly; āgatam—come; vyāsam—Vyāsa; sampūjyaworshiping; vidhivan—properly; nṛpaO king; natvā—bowing; papraccha—asked; dharmātmā—saintly; dharma-rājaḥYamarāja; mahā-matiḥnoble-hearted.

English translation of verse 6.15.36:

Then Vyāsadeva arrived in that assembly. Bowing down before Him, and carefully worshiping Him, saintly and noble-hearted Yamarāja asked Vyāsadeva the following question.
