The Garga-samhita Verse 6.14.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 14 (The Glories of Ratnakara, Raivata, and Kacala) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

जातेश् च कारणात् तौ द्वौ
सुमेरुश् च हिमाचलः
शैल-लक्शैः परिवृतौ
योद्धुम् आजग्मतुर् द्रुतम्

jāteś ca kāraṇāt tau dvau
sumeruś ca himācalaḥ
śaila-lakśaiḥ parivṛtau
yoddhum ājagmatur drutam

jāteḥ—birth; ca—and; kāraṇāt—by the cause; tau—they; dvau—both; sumeruḥSumeru; ca—and; himācalaḥ—Himalaya; śailaof mountains; lakśaiḥ— with a hundred thousand; parivṛtau—accompanied; yoddhum—to fight; ājagmatuḥ—came; drutam—at once.

English translation of verse 6.14.23:

Because they were his kinsmen, Mount Sumeru and Mount Himālaya, bringing with them a hundred thousand mountains, came at once to engage in the fight.
