The Garga-samhita Verse 6.2.16, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 2 (Residence in Shri Dvaraka) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

वरं वराय भो राजन्
यत् ते मनसि वर्तते
नत्वा तान् प्राह राजेन्द्रः
करोमि शयनं परम्

varaṃ varāya bho rājan
yat te manasi vartate
natvā tān prāha rājendraḥ
karomi śayanaṃ param

varama boon; varāya—please choose; bhaḥ—O; rājanking; yat—what; te—of you; manasiin the heart; vartate—is; natvā—bowing down; tān—to them; prāha—said; rājendraḥ—that king of kings; karomi—I do; śayanam—sleep; param—great.

English translation of verse 6.2.16:

"O king, please ask for a boon. Ask for whatever is in your heart." Bowing down to them, that king of kings said: "I wish to sleep a great sleep.
