सर्वं हि भावं मनसः परस्परं
न ह्य् एकतो भामिनि जायते ततः
प्रेमैव कर्तव्यम् अहो मयि स्वतः
प्रेम्णा समानं भुवि नास्ति किञ्चित्
sarvaṃ hi bhāvaṃ manasaḥ parasparaṃ
na hy ekato bhāmini jāyate tataḥ
premaiva kartavyam aho mayi svataḥ
premṇā samānaṃ bhuvi nāsti kiñcit
sarvam—all; hi—indeed; bhāvam—nature; manasaḥ—of the mind; parasparam—mutual; na—not; hi—indeed; ekataḥ—alone; bhāmini—O beautiful one; jāyate—is born; tataḥ—then; prema—love; eva—certainly; kartavyam—should be done; ahaḥ—Oh; mayi—for Me; svataḥ—personally; premṇā—with love; samānam—equal; bhuvi—in the world; na—not; asti—is; kiñcit—anything.
English translation of verse 5.20.26:
O beautiful one, love does not exist by itself. It must have an object. One should love Me. In this world nothing is equal to love for Me.
