The Garga-samhita Verse 5.19.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-गोपा ऊचुः
रथं स-कुम्भ-ध्वज-वायु-वेगं
सु-कांस्य-पत्र-ध्वनि-निःस्वनं तम्
शताश्व-युक्तं शत-सूर्य-शोभं
गावः कथं वा रुरुधुः सखायः
śrī-gopā ūcuḥ
rathaṃ sa-kumbha-dhvaja-vāyu-vegaṃ
su-kāṃsya-patra-dhvani-niḥsvanaṃ tam
śatāśva-yuktaṃ śata-sūrya-śobhaṃ
gāvaḥ kathaṃ vā rurudhuḥ sakhāyaḥ
śrī-gopā ūcuḥ—the gopas said; ratham—chariot; sa-kumbha—with a canopy; dhvaja—flag; vāyu—wind; vegam—fast; su-kaṃsya-patra-dhvani-niḥsvanam—making a rumbling sound; tam—that; śatāśva-yuktam—with a hundred horses; śata-sūrya-śobham—splendid as a hundred suns; gāvaḥ—cows; katham—how?; vā—or; rurudhuḥ—stopped; sakhāyaḥ—O friends.
English translation of verse 5.19.10:
The gopas said: O friends, how is it possible that these cows have stopped such a chariot decorated with with canopy and flag, splendid as a hundred suns, and making a great rumbling sound as, pulled by a hundred horses, it goes as fast as the wind?
