The Garga-samhita Verse 5.19.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 19 (The Festival on Shri Krishna Return) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-गोपालो हरिस् तासां
वदन् नाम पृथक् पृथक्
श्री-हस्तेन तद्-अङ्गानि
स्पृशन् हर्षं जगाम ह

śrī-gopālo haris tāsāṃ
vadan nāma pṛthak pṛthak
śrī-hastena tad-aṅgāni
spṛśan harṣaṃ jagāma ha

śrī-gopālaḥthe protector of the cows; hariḥKṛṣṇa; tāsām—of them; vadan—saying; nāmathe name; pṛthakone; pṛthak—by one; śrī-hastena—with His hand; tad-aṅgāni—their bodies; spṛśan—touching; harṣam—happiness; jagāma—attained; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 5.19.8:

Then Lord Kṛṣṇa, the protector of the cows, called each cow by name.

Touching them with His glorious hand, He became happy.
