The Garga-samhita Verse 5.17.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 17 (The Gopis Describe Their Remembrance of Sri Krsna) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

स्रि-मय-युथ उवच सग्कोच-विथिसु पते प्रग्र्ह्य प्रसह्य दोर्भ्यम् ह्र्दये निधय अन्योन्यम् अकर्सन-हर्स-भितिर् ग्र्हन् हरिम् तम् हि कद नयमह् स्रि-मय-युथ

sri-maya-yutha uvaca sagkoca-vithisu pate pragrhya prasahya dorbhyam hrdaye nidhaya anyonyam akarsana-harsa-bhitir grhan harim tam hi kada nayamah sri-maya-yutha

uvaca—the groups of gopis headed by Sri Maya said; sagkoca-vithisu—on the narrow path; pategone; pragrhyataking; prasahya—forcibly; dorbhyam—with both arms; hrdaye—on the heart; nidhayaplacing; anyonyam—together; akarsanapulling; harsa-happiness; bhitih—fear; grhan—to the homes; harim—Krsna; tam—Him; hi—indeed; kadawhen?; nayamah—we lead.

English translation of verse 5.17.17:

The groups of gopis headed by Sri Maya said: When will we ambush Krsna on the narrow path and with both arms forcibly hold Him to our hearts? When, happy and frightened, will we take Him to our homes?
