The Garga-samhita Verse 5.15.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 15 (Seeing Sri Radha) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

कस्मिन् कु-कले जननि ससर्ज यम् दतुम् सतम् स्नेहवतम् प्रतपनम् कद्रुर् यथ नग-चयम् विसव्र्तम् हन्तुम् व्र्थ लोक-जनन् इतस् ततह्

kasmin ku-kale janani sasarja yam datum satam snehavatam pratapanam kadrur yatha naga-cayam visavrtam hantum vrtha loka-janan itas tatah

kasmin—in what?; ku-kalebad time; jananimother; sasarja—created; yam—whom; datum—to give; satam—of the devotees; snehavatam—loving; pratapanam—pain; kadruh—Kadru; yatha—as; naga-cayam—snakes; visavrtam—poisonous; hantum—to kill; vrthauseless; loka-janan—the people; itah—here; tatah—and there.

English translation of verse 5.15.10:

At what inauspicious moment did his mother, in order to give pain to the loving devotees, give birth to Akrura? She did it as Kadru, in order randomly to kill people here and there, gave birth to the species of snakes.
