The Garga-samhita Verse 5.7.33, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 7 (The Killing of Kuvalayapida) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

द्विपे हते ऽपि ये चान्ये
महा-मात्र इतस् ततः
विदुद्रुवुर् यथा मेघा
वर्ष-काले गते सति

dvipe hate 'pi ye cānye
mahā-mātra itas tataḥ
vidudruvur yathā meghā
varṣa-kāle gate sati

dvipe—when the elephant; hate—was killed; api—even; ye—who; ca—and; anye—other; mahā-mātraelephant-trainers; itaḥ—here; tataḥ—and there; vidudruvuḥ—ran; yathā—as; meghāclouds; varṣa-kāleduring the monsoon; gate—come; satiis.

English translation of verse 5.7.33:

When the elephant was killed, the trainers fled in all directions as rainclouds flee at the end of the monsoon.
