The Garga-samhita Verse 5.3.15, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 3 (Akrura’s Arrival) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तम् आह नन्दः परिरभ्य दोर्भ्यां
अहो कथं जीवसि कंस-राज्ये
गत-त्रपो यो निजघान बलान्
स्वसुः कथं सो ऽन्य-जनेषु मोही

tam āha nandaḥ parirabhya dorbhyāṃ
aho kathaṃ jīvasi kaṃsa-rājye
gata-trapo yo nijaghāna balān
svasuḥ kathaṃ so 'nya-janeṣu mohī

tam—to him; āha—said; nandaḥNanda; parirabhya—embracing; dorbhyām—with both arms; ahaḥ—Oh; katham—how?; jīvasi—you live; kaṃsaof Kaṃsa; rājye—in the kingdom; gata-trapaḥ—shameless; yaḥ—who; nijaghāna—killed; balān—chuldren; svasuḥ—of his sister; katham—how?; saḥ—he; anya-janeṣu—other people; mohīkind.

English translation of verse 5.3.15:

Nanda embraced Akrūra with both arms and said, "You are kind to others. How can you live in the kingdom of Kaṃsa, who killed the sons of his own sister?
