The Garga-samhita Verse 4.20.22, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 20 (The Killing of Pralamba) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तस्मै प्रसन्नो राजेन्द्र कुवेरो ऽपि वरम् ददौ त्वम् विस्नु-भक्तः चान्तात्मा मा चोकम् कुरु मानद

tasmai prasanno rājendra kuvero 'pi varam dadau tvam visnu-bhaktaḥ cāntātmā mā cokam kuru mānada

tasmai—with him; prasannaḥpleased; rājendra—O king of kings; kuveraḥKuvera; api—also; varama boon; dadau—gave; tvam—you; visnu-bhaktaḥa devotee of Lord Visnu; cāntātmā—peaceful at heart; mā—don't; cokam—lament; kurudo; mānadaO respectful one.

English translation of verse 4.20.22:

Pleased with him, Kuvera blessed him: You are a peaceful-hearted devotee of Lord Visnu. O respectful one, please don't lament.
