श्री-नारद उवाच
अत्रैवोदहरन्तीमं
इतिहासं पुरातनम्
यस्य श्रवण-मात्रेण
पाप-हानिः परा भवेत्
śrī-nārada uvāca
atraivodaharantīmaṃ
itihāsaṃ purātanam
yasya śravaṇa-mātreṇa
pāpa-hāniḥ parā bhavet
śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; atra—here; eva—indeed; udaharanti—describing; imam—this; itihāsam—story; purātanam—ancient; yasya—of whom; śravaṇa-mātreṇa—simply by hearing; pāpa—sins; hāniḥ—destorying; parā—great; bhavet—is.
English translation of verse 4.15.15:
Śrī Nārada said: Simply by hearing this ancient story one becomes free of all sins.
