The Garga-samhita Verse 4.15.15, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
अत्रैवोदहरन्तीमं
इतिहासं पुरातनम्
यस्य श्रवण-मात्रेण
पाप-हानिः परा भवेत्

śrī-nārada uvāca
atraivodaharantīmaṃ
itihāsaṃ purātanam
yasya śravaṇa-mātreṇa
pāpa-hāniḥ parā bhavet

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; atra—here; eva—indeed; udaharanti—describing; imam—this; itihāsam—story; purātanam—ancient; yasya—of whom; śravaṇa-mātreṇa—simply by hearing; pāpasins; hāniḥ—destorying; parāgreat; bhavet—is.

English translation of verse 4.15.15:

Śrī Nārada said: Simply by hearing this ancient story one becomes free of all sins.
