श्रुत्वा पराजयं स्वस्य
कौरवाः क्रोध-मुर्छिताः
दैत्यानां समयं दृष्ट्वा
सर्वे वै मौनम् आस्थिताः
śrutvā parājayaṃ svasya
kauravāḥ krodha-murchitāḥ
daityānāṃ samayaṃ dṛṣṭvā
sarve vai maunam āsthitāḥ
śrutvā—hearing; parājayam—the victory; svasya—own; kauravāḥ—the Kurus; krodha-murchitāḥ—fainting with anger; daityānām—of the demons; samayam—the right time; dṛṣṭvā—seeing; sarve—all; vai—indeed; maunam—silent; āsthitāḥ—stood.
English translation of verse 4.14.32:
Hearing of their own defeat, the Kurus were overcome with anger. Seeing that things were now favorable for the demons, everyone became silent.
