सर्वतो जगृहुः कृष्णं
कराभ्यां व्रज-गोपिकाः
यथा मेघं च दामिन्यः
सन्ध्यायां श्रावणस्य च
sarvato jagṛhuḥ kṛṣṇaṃ
karābhyāṃ vraja-gopikāḥ
yathā meghaṃ ca dāminyaḥ
sandhyāyāṃ śrāvaṇasya ca
sarvataḥ—from everywhere; jagṛhuḥ—grabbed; kṛṣṇam—Kṛṣṇa; karābhyām—with both hands; vraja-gopikāḥ—the vraja-gopīs; yathā—as; meghaṃ—a cloud; ca—and; dāminyaḥ—lightning; sandhyāyām—meeting; śrāvaṇasya—of the month of Sravana; ca—and.
English translation of verse 4.12.18:
As lightning flashes surround a cloud in the month of Śrāvaṇa (July-August), so the vraja-gopīs surrounded Kṛṣṇa and held Him tightly with both hands.
