The Garga-samhita Verse 4.2.11, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 2 (The Story of the Gopis That Had Been Sages) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-नारद उवाच
तीर्थ-यायी जयो नाम
वृद्धो बुद्धिमतां वरः
तन्-मुखान् नन्द-राजस्य
श्रुतं वैभवम् अद्भुतम्

śrī-nārada uvāca
tīrtha-yāyī jayo nāma
vṛddho buddhimatāṃ varaḥ
tan-mukhān nanda-rājasya
śrutaṃ vaibhavam adbhutam

śrī-nārada uvāca—Srī Nārada said; tīrtha-yāyīa pilgrim; jayaḥjaya; nāmanamed; vṛddhaḥ—elderly; buddhimatām—of the wise; varaḥ—the best; tan-mukhān—from his mouth; nanda-rājasya—of King Nanda; śrutam—heard; vaibhavam—the opulences; adbhutam—wonderful.

English translation of verse 4.2.11:

Srī Nārada said: From an elderly pilgrim named Jaya, who was the wisest of the wise, Maṅgala had heard of the fabulous wealth of King Nanda.
