यदि कृष्णो बाल-यतिः
सर्व-दोष-विवर्जितः
तर्हि नो देहि मार्गं वै
कालिन्दि सरितां वरे
yadi kṛṣṇo bāla-yatiḥ
sarva-doṣa-vivarjitaḥ
tarhi no dehi mārgaṃ vai
kālindi saritāṃ vare
yadi—if; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; bāla-yatiḥ—a brahmacari; sarva-doṣa-vivarjitaḥ—completely faultless; tarhi—then; naḥ—to us; dehi—give; mārgam—a path; vai—indeed; kālindi—O Yamuna03; saritām—of rivers; vare—the best.
English translation of verse 4.1.22:
O Yamunā, O best of rivers, if Kṛṣṇa is a perfect and faultess brahmacārī, then please give us a path to cross you.
