The Garga-samhita Verse 3.5.13, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 5 (The Dispute Among the Gopas) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

शुक्लो रक्तस् तथा पीतो
वर्णो ऽस्यानु-युगं धृतः
द्वापरान्ते कलेर् आदौ
बालो ऽयं कृष्णतां गतः

śuklo raktas tathā pīto
varṇo 'syānu-yugaṃ dhṛtaḥ
dvāparānte kaler ādau
bālo 'yaṃ kṛṣṇatāṃ gataḥ

śuklaḥwhite; raktaḥred; tathā—so; pītaḥyellow; varṇaḥcolors; asyaof Him; anu-yugam—in each yuga; dhṛtaḥheld; dvāparānte—at the end of Dvapara-yuag; kaleḥ—of kali-yuga; ādau—at the beginning; bālaḥ—boy; ayamthis; kṛṣṇatām—the state of being dark-complexioned Kṛṣṇa; gataḥ—attains.

English translation of verse 3.5.13:

In the other yugas He is white, red, or yellow, but at the end of Dvāpara-yuga and the beginning of Kali-yuga, this boy becomes dark-complexioned (kṛṣṇa).
