The Garga-samhita Verse 2.8.49, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 8 (Description of Seeing Lord Krishna) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

शनैर् उपससारेशं
प्रसीदेति वदन् नमन्
स्रवद्-वर्षाश्रु-दत्तार्घः
स पपाताथा दण्डवत्

śanair upasasāreśaṃ
prasīdeti vadan naman
sravad-varṣāśru-dattārghaḥ
sa papātāthā daṇḍavat

śanaiḥslowly; upasasāra—approached; īśam—the Lord; prasīda—be kind; iti—thus; vadan—saying; namanbowing down; sravatflowing; varṣashower; aśrutears; dattaoffered; ārghaḥarghya; sa—he; papāta—fell down; athāthen; daṇḍavatlike a stick.

English translation of verse 2.8.49:

Slowly he approached the Lord. Saying, "Please be kind", bowing down, and with a streams of tears offering arghya, he fell down like a stick.
