तदा क्रोधेन सहसा
धावन् दैत्यस् तडित्-स्वनः
देवान् विद्रावयाम् आस
स्व-चञ्च्वा तीक्ष्ण-तुण्डया

tadā krodhena sahasā
dhāvan daityas taḍit-svanaḥ
devān vidrāvayām āsa
sva-cañcvā tīkṣṇa-tuṇḍayā

tadāthen; krodhena—with anger; sahasāat once; dhāvan—running; daityaḥthe demon; taḍit-svanaḥmaking a sound of thunder; devān—the demigods; vidrāvayām āsa—put to flight; sva-cañcvā—with his beak; tīkṣṇa-tuṇḍayā—very sharp.

English translation of verse 2.5.19:

Then, roaring like thunder, the demon angrily chased the demigods and with his sharp beak made them flee.
